i’m jessica!

i spend most of my days working full-time in marketing & sales, rearranging our furniture in our home, & trying to recreate some sort of recipe. i’m an AZ desert native who transplanted to LA for half a decade, but back for good.

we bought our house (the orange home) in may 2019 in sunny scottsdale, az and then i started documenting about my love for home projects + cooking + hosting (i’m apparently a food pusher) + community. ‘the orange home’ name came from our terracotta brick exterior & our dear friend planting an orange tree in our yard.

you’ll hear me say “we” a lot, that’s because i feel like there’s a lot of contributors to our projects. the collective “we”.

“we” mostly includes myself + ben (boyfriend) + tofu (doggo/the orange home mascot) + DIY dad + greenthumb mom.
