A modern take on Martha and Ina’s tablescapes (iykyk) using thrifted linens and Trader Joe’s flowers.
Thank you to Year & Day for this partnering with us for this beautiful springtime tablescape!
Here’s how it started
After a thrift store stop, I wanted everything to be in the same tone — so I rub-n-buff’ed the centerpiece vases to a champagne gold color. I opted to keep the real silver pour vases as is, since it was beautiful alone! Luckily the longer gold candlesticks were fine as is and didn’t need a buffin’.
Whimsical florals are goals
I knew I wanted to try out this long stemmed, whimsical look. So I took some floral foam and cut it to size enable to stab the stems in and prop up. It ended up being super easy to achieve the look!
Tip: soak the foam in water for a few hours that way the florals have a good water supply!
Colorful muted plates have my heart
So thankful Year & Day sent me these beautiful plates and everyday napkins Year & Day by Atelier Saucier — they have the most beautiful stitching that gives the perfect detail.
Dinner under the stars
Candlelight changes the entire ambiance and I can’t recommend it enough. So thankful we have this space to host!
